Love Thy Neighbor....

I think this guy should have been a little nicer to his new neighbor. Here's the story.

A city councilman in Utah, had a beautiful view of the East Mtns. until a new neighbor purchase the lot below his house and built a new home. The house was 18" higher than the land ordinance allowed, so Mark, mad about his lost view, went to the city to make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance.

The new neighbor had to drop the roof at a great expense.

Recently Mark called the city to inform them that his new neighbors had installed some new vents... Mark did not like what he saw, but the city was unable to do anything as there were no ordinances being wronged.

Maybe he should have lived with the 18" and brought over some brownies to his new neighbors.

The Little Things In Life

It's the simple things in life that bring such pleasure to me. We all get caught up in the trials of life, bills, work, family, etc. I need to remind myself to stop and take a deep breath and realize just how lucky I am. I live in a beautiful place, I have a roof over my head, I have to beautiful boys and life is good.

We now have a new colt (Casper) and it is such a joy to watch him grow on a daily basis.

So take a step back and remember all the good things in your life.

Signs.......

I believe there are signs sent to us when we need them.Whether we choose to see them or not is another story.
I was working outside this weekend and happened to notice this set of intertwined hearts in the driveway. Now please keep in mind these were not made on purpose.
I had been driving the truck back and forth moving some old hay and this was made with the tires of the truck, but not on purpose, they just appeared there!!! I couldn't believe my eyes and had to take a picture.

New Look, New Name

If you have check out my shop on Etsy lately you will see that I have opened a second one! I am slowly trying to transition to the second shop as I have wanted to change my business name. I started out working in polymerclay, but have since really found my true passion with metal (mostly sterling) and just felt that my old shop name (ClayChic) really didn't suit me anymore. To all of you wanting to start your own shop I would truly recommend give a good bit of time when coming up with a name. Lesson learned the hard way for me!
